The OS version is listed under your calculator&#8217;s name.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>If the version listed on the&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/education.ti.com\/en\/software\/details\/en\/158B7669E4C0493A84D33D9A22FDBD3C\/ti-84plusceoperatingsystem\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">operating system download page<\/a>&nbsp;is the same as the one you have already, there is no need to update (you are already up to date!).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This process is super simple, so let&#8217;s get started!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>What You Need<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul><li>A TI-84 Plus CE Calculator<\/li><li>A Charging Cable<\/li><li>TI Connect CE Software Installed (<a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/education.ti.com\/en\/software\/details\/en\/CA9C74CAD02440A69FDC7189D7E1B6C2\/swticonnectcesoftware\" target=\"_blank\">Download Here<\/a>)<\/li><li>TI-84 Plus CE Operating System File (<a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/education.ti.com\/en\/software\/details\/en\/158B7669E4C0493A84D33D9A22FDBD3C\/ti-84plusceoperatingsystem\" target=\"_blank\">Download Here<\/a>)<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2><strong>Step-by-Step Guide<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Before getting started, make sure you have gathered all of the materials and downloads listed above! None of them are optional.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Start by opening the TI Connect CE software on your computer (download link above), and clicking on the &#8220;Calculator Explorer&#8221; tab on the side bar.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/ti84calcwiz.com\/\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/07\/520902_6bbab114df29404781453186552e9529_mv2.webp\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-1167\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>TI Connect should now display a message saying &#8220;<strong>Connect 1 or more graphing calculators using the USB cable<\/strong>&#8220;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>So, just follow its instructions. Use your calculator charging cable to plug your calculator into your computer. Make sure your calculator is turned on!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>If everything went according to plan, you should see a list of everything stored on your calculator, such as this:&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/ti84calcwiz.com\/\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/07\/520902_3977f119058c4a809d3c58010f74cc14_mv2.webp\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-1168\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>To send the operating system file to your calculator (or any other compatible file, for that matter), all you need to do is drag the file into the list, and click &#8220;Send&#8221; when you see the pop-up window.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img decoding=\"async\" width=\"600\" height=\"375\" src=\"http:\/\/ti84calcwiz.com\/\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/07\/520902_360e13eca4ac4f8f8d7c2b1585554a6a_mv2.gif\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-1169\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>&nbsp;Don&#8217;t be worried if it takes longer than it does in this GIF. I sped it up a lot to make sure I don&#8217;t waste your time.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Common Problem:&nbsp;<\/strong>Nothing happens when I drag in the file! Help!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Don&#8217;t worry, I have a solution! You can send the file manually by clicking on the &#8220;Actions&#8221; button in the top bar, clicking &#8220;Send OS\/Bundle to Calculators&#8221;, and navigating to the OS file you downloaded.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>If everything worked out, then congratulations!
